Trio World Academy Student Interviewed on Satyamev Jayate with Amir Khan

We are rightly proud of this young person and their achievements and we would recommend that you take the time to listen to this interview.
As a school we see it as our role to assist those who wish to live a fulfilling life, and in this case we have been rewarded by an inspirational student who is independent, hard working and has a focus that we would all be proud of.

Every day she can be seen overcoming her situation, sitting reading, learning and forming friendships, it’s a pleasure to watch and makes our approach of providing an inclusive school environment to this student and her family a wonderful decision.

On Saturday 10th of June one of our students, a young person of whom we are incredibly proud was interviewed by Aamir Khan on his very popular TV programme Satyamev Jayate.  The conversation was about the young girl’s life, her ability to deal with adversity and the amazing story of courage that she exhibits every day at home and here in Trio World School.

Trio World School would also wish to offer our thanks to Aamir Khan for his quest to present these types of positive and inspiring stories to the community.  We are assailed every day by negativism and he brings a balance to how the world is that is greatly appreciated by us.  The celebration of joy, wonder, hard work and empowerment are vital in a balanced and healthy society.

Trio World Academy Brings Fun To Everyone on Fun Day

Trio World Academy added a “Fun Day” to its annual calendar this week and brought its students, parents and teachers laughing and out of breath into a new and enjoyable world of experiences.  Fun was experienced by a large and very happy crowd encompassing our entire community on a sunny day here in Bangalore.

If the definition of fun is “a group or community expressing joy and happiness together” then there is no doubt that the TWA Fun Day held on Friday the 30th of March is without a doubt a “defined” moment in the life of our school.

The intention of the day was clearly to have our various groups from inside and outside the school come together, to experience team, competition and mutual support while achieving various goals.  Alongside this there was a more serious reason, the raising of funds for the Mathru School for the Blind, a local project which the school has taken on in a spirit of caring and social responsibility.

From athletics to IT quiz’s, the small stalls arranged by our students that sold everything from sweets, art, information on Brazil and wonderful food, every moment was planned to maximise excitement and effort while adding a surfeit of fun.

This was truly a fitting way to complete a Term, a chance to clear the mind, exercise the brain, stretch the legs and of course open our hearts and pockets.

As a TWA community day of fun, this was a wonderful success and for everyone involved a chance to see the hard work of planning and preparation come to fruition.  Now we look forward to the Easter/Spring Break and then a return to enjoy new challenges of mind and body in the form of tests, exams and further chances for fun and laughter.

Trio World Academy celebrates Spring Fest and Art Exhibition

“Spring has sprung, the grass has ris” (Anon), “we all know where Trio World School is”
This seemed like an excellent way to start to speak of the Trio World Academy Spring Fest and Primary Art Exhibition.  This was an event attended by many of the parents of the school and it proved unequivocally that our parents do know where we are and that their enthusiastic response supported our belief that they are happy to be here, to be part of our renaissance, our “spring”.
One day in spring, a woman came
In my lonely woods,
In the lovely form of the Beloved.
Came, to give to my songs, melodies,
To give to my dreams, sweetness.
Suddenly a wild wave
Broke over my heart's shores
And drowned all language.

With these words Rabindranath Tagore evoked spring in his poem “One Day in Spring” and for Trio World School Spring Fest 2012 was the “Came, to give to my songs, melodies. To give to my dreams, sweetness.”  Spring is the new beginning, a time of growth, freshness and joy and this was so evident on the faces of our Primary School children and within the audience.
The sounds of laughter and singing, the happy smiling faces brought enthusiastic responses from all.
With Ugadi  also being celebrated around this time and meaning “the beginning of a new age” this also seemed a fitting celebration, a celebration of song, dance and art, the epitome of India and of the creative nature that lies within Trio World School Bangalore.

The hour long concert and exhibition of art and sculpture is a credit to the school’s Primary Music and Art departments and is a chance for them to showcase the many budding talents of our children.
By the end “spring had definitely sprung’ and the level of joy and happiness had “ris”

British Deputy High Commissioner Opens Trio World Academy’s New Waterfall and Playground

To the sound of cheers and the waving of flags Trio World Academy’s (TWA) new large waterfall and playground were opened by the British Deputy High Commissioner Mr Ian Felton and his wife Judith on Wednesday 14th September.

His arrival heralded the beginning of a morning of festivities hosted by the Head of the School and Board of Directors of TWA.

From the moment their car sporting the Union Jack drove onto the campus they mingled with students and their families, had a goal kicking competition, were given a tour of the school by the Head of the School and Board of Directors, had “High Tea”, and of course the ribbon cutting.  In between Mr Felton and his wife took time to sit on the grass and were pleased to speak to children of all ages. At the moment of cutting the ribbon for the waterfall, it was turned on and a flow of clean clear water cascaded downwards across the beautiful granite panels.  When the playground was officially opened laughing happy children ran in to play on the state of the art swings, slides etc.

Trio World Academy Head of the School said “TWA is proud of its reputation as a place of learning, now it’s also an aesthetically pleasing environment for the students in their leisure time around the school”.

The morning ended with the guests being driven from the TRIO campus to the echoing sounds of water gurgling and children playing.
